Hello! If you are here, reading this….welcome and thank you for spending your time with me today. I’ve had this Charleston lifestyle blog in my mind for YEARS…and after a brief stint blogging for a few months on a blogger site @TheCharlestonLens, I just let the idea sit and marinate forever. To be fair, we did have a lot going in “real” life as we went down a whole rabbit hole trying to sell my family’s farm in Virginia. Long story short, we got into a development deal with inexperienced folks that really ended up damaging the value of the property. We finally had to wave the white flag and sell at a bargain basement price and move on with LIFE. So, while I’m recovering mentally from the strain and drain of that situation, I am here to get started on my dream life, which includes “sharing and celebrating the magic of Charleston” with anyone who feels the same love for this city as I do. If you’ve landed here from my instagram @TheCharlestonLens, then you’re familiar with my love of Charleston and how truly amazing it is to live in this place.
My goals for this blog are all over the place, but that was my initial intention: to have a place to expand my content offering to include the many things that I love in addition to Charleston. So here, I hope to share more Over 40 (lets be honest…over 50) beauty, fashion and skincare. Home decor, gardening, food, tech, cars etc….so you will get bit of everything. Take what you like from this and skip over the things that don’t interest you. I’m just happy you’re here!
Also, my hubby is a Charleston realtor, so a lot of my focus is on Charleston homes and beach investment properties. It is a good pairing with my background in history and ” material culture” and his business experience over the last 12 years or so. We love to just drive and dig into the local market, finding new charming spots around every corner. I love it when Chris works with clients that share a similar love of this city. When we’ve worked folks that just “get it” about Charleston, finding them their piece of the Charleston lifestyle is unbelievably rewarding.
This post has been a lot of writing, and because I am a visual person, I really prefer working on photographs and videos. My photos reflect my heart and soul and are so rewarding to create! As you leave, feel free to leave a comment telling me what you would like to see here and your favorite thing about Charleston. Also, I’m going to set up an email subscription to that we can stay in touch. So be on the look out for that!
Again, thanks for stopping by Charleston Obsessed Lifestyle Blog!
I love your content and photos! I’ve visited Charleston once and cannot wait to return. I loved walking the streets, checking out but all of the great restaurants, and tasting all of the finely crafted cocktails on King Street . Hope to see you real soon!
